Grandma's Peach Cobbler Recipe

Grandma's Peach Cobbler Recipe

I have the best memories of making this specific peach cobbler with my grandma when I was a little girl. Not only is it being passed down throughout our family, but it is so incredibly easy to make!

Ingredients:

24 oz. peaches, sliced (fresh or canned) *If using canned peaches, save syrup

1 cup self-rising flour (OR all-purpose with 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt added in)

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

1 stick of butter, melted

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°

2. Drain peaches, saving syrup for later. Spray baking dish with non-stick cooking spray, then add peaches to dish.

3. In large bowl, mix remaining ingredients and a large splash of peach syrup. Discard remaining syrup. Whisk together until only small lumps are left.

4. Pour batter over peaches in dish and bake, uncovered, for 1 hour until golden brown.

5. Let cool before serving, and enjoy!
